KDSG has just signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of a Film Village in Kaduna State.


The signing took place at the ongoing Kaduna Economic and Investment Summit and was done by Mohammad Hafiz Bayero the Administrator Kaduna Capital Territory Authority and the Kaduna State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) to establish a Film Village at the Tradefair Complex in Rigachikun, Kaduna. 


The Kaduna Film Village will boost and modernize the local film production structure and framework.


According to the PwC Global Entertainment and Media Outlook for 2020-2024, “Nigeria’s media and entertainment industry is one of the fastest-growing creative industries in the world. It has the potential to become the country’s greatest export, with a projected annual growth rate of 8.6% and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.3% from 2018-2023.”


The Kaduna Film Village upon completion will provide job opportunities to performing artistes, actors, cinematographers, writers,directors, make-up artists, cinematographers, audio-visual editors and others.
